If you are hesitating, don’t worry! We get questions all the time, so we’ve popped the most common ones below to help you out.
Of course! The price set out in the Order Form is based on the work it will take to accomplish everything you’ve told us you want to achieve, but we’re happy to be flexible. If you want to change your mind or add anything new, that won’t be a problem as we’ll provide an updated Order Form for the additional work. To give you an idea of the types of things that might run over and cost more, here’s a non-exhaustive list
As soon as the scope of work changes, or could change, for a project, we will notify you and send an updated Order Form with the new price that will require signing before any additional work begins.
There are two options when it comes to buying our services:
You can buy a bundle of credits from us that you can use across any of our services. This way, you won’t have to send us an invoice each time you want to use our services - we will deduct from your balance instead. We also offer discounts for bulk purchases of credits.
All services are priced in credits and in cash, so you can buy services on a per-project basis. In this case, we will send you the Order Form with a cost estimate as normal, at which point we will require a Purchase Order from you. Once the project has been delivered, we will send you an invoice with the final cost of the project.
Subject to your full payment for the services, we grant you a perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable, non-transferable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, sub-license, modify, improve, enhance, and make derivative works of the final product.
Yes, we do! We will select a track (or multiple) for you that’s appropriate for the project. All of the music we use is royalty free, so you can post your videos online with peace of mind.
*Motion graphics are a type of animation. While motion graphics describes moving or animated graphic design, animation is an umbrella term for the whole field of moving imagery, including everything from cartoons to claymation.*
While motion graphics describes moving or animated graphic design, they mainly focus on giving movement to graphic design elements. Motion graphics take a graphic design that would be otherwise static and give it animation and movement, usually without following a specific narrative. We usually apply these on top of video footage as part of our video editing service.
Motion Graphics are used in a variety of different ways
When we say animation, we mean those projects that are predominantly animated; that use animation more creatively, often to drive the narrative. Animation requires skill and time, so this is a different service to video editing.
Once the editor has watched all the project footage, prior to starting the edit, they will provide some feedback and advice on the project. It may be that more footage is required to convey a key message, or the sound is a poor on a couple of clips. They might advise that you ask your contributors to film again, if possible.
At the end of the project, we will also provide some feedback on what went well and how your future videos can be improved.
The delivery time is the time from when editing begins and the delivery of the final video.
Project files will be kept for 12 months – if during this time you would like us to send these to you, we can provide a price for this on request.
If you would like us to resume a project that we still have, we would be happy to do so.
We will send you a review link via email for each version of an edit we create for you. You can add time-coded notes to the review link. Once you have finished adding notes, let us know via email so we can start on the next version when ready.
On the review link, please consolidate all feedback before sharing back with us. We encourage having all key stakeholders having their say, but sometimes when there are too many people commenting on a link it can become a free-for-all and add time to the whole process. So if you’re having multiple people review the video, please have one person be responsible for reading through the comments and consolidating them into actionable feedback before sharing back with us.
It happens very rarely, but yes. We work with a network of editors who have other projects going on at any given time. We give a 14-day (or 10-day for premium) delivery time from when we can start the edit (when we have all footage/assets that we need) to the final delivery, as editor availability can vary.
If an editor suitable to your project is unavailable, we may not be able to provide the service within the delivery time, or at all. In such cases we will let you know as soon as possible.
Before we begin work on a project, we will provide you with an order form which includes a rundown of the services we will deliver and a price for that work.
Sometimes, the scope of work can change during the project because you may wish to extend it through add-ons (an extra revision round, or a cutdown, for example).
Any time the scope changes, we will send you a new order form with an updated rundown of services and a new price for you to agree to before we proceed.
