Collider, an accelerator dedicated to marketing and advertising startups, gathered bright entrepreneurs to talk about transforming startups into scale-ups at Advertising Week Europe on April 18. We, one of the alumni of Collider, were delighted to be among the speakers. Emily Forbes, the co-founder of Seenit, rocked the stage explained when it is the right time to enter the American market.

“When a startup is ready to lose its founder, when product fits, and its sales and culture could be scaled, it can go to the US.”

We were one of the three Collider alumni to go on stage together with Andrew Foyle, the co-founder of Miappi and Ofri Ben-Porat, the co-founder of Pixoneye. Seenit joined on stage such rock stars of marketing and advertisement as Guy Wieynk, CEO Western Europe at Publicis, Gabbi Cahane, Chairman of Multiple, Rose Lewis, Co-Founder of Collider and Sarah Wood, the co-founder of Unruly, the company that was sold to News Corp for £58m. Sara Wood mentioned the importance of a mentor.

“Having a mentor for a year, you can internalise their voices – look within the walls of your organisation”

The experts discussed the best ways to find the right mentor, challenges a hand-to-mouth company faces, and hacks of scaling a company from 1 to 100 employees.
