On the 17th of September, thousands of people descended upon Westminster to protest and demand the government take further action to resolve the Syrian refugee crisis on home soil. Regarded widely as the worst culmination of people displacement since WW2, this issue has been close to the hearts of many British people for some time now.

Seenit, partnered with Solidarity With Refugees, Ben & Jerry‘s, Amnesty and UNHCR helped to create a spectrum of video content promoting the march in a tailor made 10 day campaign. Each day running up to the march, footage was sourced from a range of different people all around the UK. We also helped to generate content from individuals in ‘The Jungle’ refugee camp in Calais, amongst others. On a daily basis Solidarity With Refugees would push the videos that we cut together in house out to their various networks, drawing attention to both the issues at hand and the protest itself. Given the media response and numbers that turned up, we consider this strategy a huge success. In ten days over 8,100 streams were accumulated online – helping to raise awareness of this very complex issue.
